About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to join our Finance Team at our Mumbai Head Office. This role will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior finance team to support various accounting functions, including preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Maintain and oversee the company’s day-to-day financial operations, including accounting records, financial statements, and general ledger.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and other applicable laws.

  • Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for various management reportings.

  • Reconciliations: Handle bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.

  • Audit: Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.

  • Cost Management: Monitor expenses and manage the cost accounting processes.

  • Vendor Management: Manage payments to suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

  • Taxation: Handle tax filings, prepare and submit GST returns, and ensure compliance with tax laws.

  • ERP Systems: Manage accounting software and contribute to the implementation of ERP solutions as required.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, HR, etc. to ensure smooth financial operations and prudence.


Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA/ICWA preferred.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting (Tally, ERP or equivalent), preferably in a similar industry.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP. Advanced Excel skills are a must.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial management.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot financial issues and recommend practical solutions.
